This past week we've been working to change our third bedroom from its present use as an office and storage area into a playroom for our lovely girls. As I removed my books- large tomes of literary excellence, references used in my former life as a teacher- and packed them into empty diaper boxes, it struck me as ironic. And even moreso when those same shelves were filled with my children's toys and games. My once prized books, previously prominently displayed, have been relegated to the basement, without so much as a wistful sigh.
